Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thy fighter. She is currently a fighter in the UFC Flyweight division. She is older than fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's combat sport career began with her debut as an Muay Thai athlete. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title after which she defeated Suzane Mller with a majority vote. Antonina Shevchenko won another medal in 2007 and a bronze medal in 2008 and a gold medal in 2011 and won the IFMA Amateur World Muay Thai Champion in 2016. Antonia has started her career as a professional at the age of three, was awarded in 2012 and 2016 the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships. It was also the WMC World Championships also held in 2016 and she won the 2016 IFMA Amateur Thai World Champion. Antonina's most recent fight took place against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. The winner was a unanimity. Antonina Shevchenko set the professional MMA record in 2002 at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan against Anara Bayanova. She won via second-round TKO after which she won 2 additional fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to get a 3-0 record. Shevchenko took a short absence from MMA and focused on her kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 against Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko had the chance to beat Anissa with a unanimous verdict and beat Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in 2017. Following the league's dissolution in the year 2018, Shevchenko enrolled into Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina defeated Nievera by her impressive striking ability during the clinch final round by using knees on the body. Antonina's UFC contract was renewed after this win. Antonina made her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale in a fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modeafferi by an unanimous decision. However, she then fell in her second bout due to the split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss by defeating Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler by a rear-naked choke submission. She was awarded the prize of fight-of-the-night. Shevchenko has a record of 1-2 over her next three bouts she won against Ariane Lipski and losing to Katlyn Clarkagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina recently lost by TKO in the second round to Casey O'Neill, at UFC Fight Night Santos Vs. Walker.
